Certified Birth Healing Practitioner Program
What Is Certification?
The Certified Birth Healing Practitioner program was designed to address the gap in prenatal and postpartum care that, currently, exists in most modern day systems. It is a deep dive into the Institute for Birth Healing curriculum and is intended to provide you with the skills you need to confidently assess and successfully work with any client that comes through your door.
Certification is available to all students at the Institute for Birth Healing.
Upon completion of the Certification program, you will be able to:
- Create a shift in the current model of care that will improve your clinical outcomes

Am I Eligible For Certification?
Requirements for Certification
- Licensure that allows hands-on bodywork
- One-year bodywork experience
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, especially that of the pelvis and surrounding muscles
Recommended Trainings
- Craniosacral Therapy
- Visceral Manipulation
- Holistic Pelvic Care with Tami Kent, PT
- Internal Work (licensure recommended)
Is Certification Right For Me?
What Is Required For Certification?
- Successful completion of 8 IBH Courses for those with a license to do internal work and 7 IBH Courses for those without a license for internal work (see Required Courses below for more details and tuition)
- Birth Healing Intensive (see Required Courses below for more details and tuition)
- 2 Written Exams, one for the Holistic Treatment of the Pregnant Body and one for the Holistic Treatment of the Postpartum Body. These exams are in addition to the final exam you took to complete each course and are included in the Certification Fee.
- 6 Written Case Studies, no longer than 2 pages each, (2 on working with the pregnant body, 2 on working with the postpartum body, and 2 on the material you learn from the Birth Healing Intensive program)
- Skills Assessment with Lynn (in person or via Zoom)
- Video Case Study (a video with audio of you working with a client to demonstrate your treatment and dialoguing skills)
- Payment of the $997 Certification Fee + Tuition for the required IBH Courses and Birth Healing Intensive

How Do I Get Certified?
- Apply for Certification
- Pay the Certification Fee of $997 (payment link will be sent after application is approved)
- Complete the required courses and the Birth Healing Intensive
- Complete the Written Exams (access will be provided after fee is paid)
- Complete your skills assessment with Lynn (scheduling available once courses, Birth Healing Intensive and exam are complete)
- Submit your Case Studies for review
- Submit your Video Case Study for review
- Once you have completed all of the requirements for final evaluation and they are approved, you will be a Certified Birth Healing Practitioner!
