Lynn Schulte | Lynn’s Language and Philosophy

Show Notes:

In today’s episode Lynn explains why she uses the language and terms she does when teaching and working with clients. She also goes over the 5 main points of her treatment philosophy.

In teaching practitioners how to work with the body, Lynn has made the conscious choice to use common terminology and language. She does this intentionally, so each student knows exactly what direction the mobilization or technique is going. It takes the guesswork out and makes it easier for students to be able to understand what is said, so they can focus on feeling the techniques in their hands and on the body. She knows that she could say pubocervical fascia for techniques related to the bladder for more precise terminology; however, she has found that it is easier for clients and students to understand the word, bladder, instead, and she wants her students and clients to understand what she is talking about.
