Since starting to work with Pelvic Floor, I have learned that each client is very different. As a therapist you are more than a “therapist treating within a specific protocol.” Instead, being a listening ear, feeling the tissue differently with my hands guided by patient response and feedback, coming up with different plan of cares based individually on each client, and having a wide approach and an open mind during treatments have been so rewarding and my passion for this field is growing more and more.
Maria, You are spot on! This is why our intuition can really guide us in our sessions. With the meditations, try to use your mind to guide your meditations on what you want to focus on. I don’t feel we should blank our our mind and try and turn it off. We need to use it to help us connect to our bodies and let that guide us.
