If its in the midline it could be a hernia if it’s in the abdominal wall. IF it’s superficial it could be just a fat nodule, it’s hard to tell what it could be.
Hi Lynn, very much enjoying the course, so thank you 🙂 On the topic of the cervix mobilisations, I have fairly short fingers, so when trying to get the more posteriorly orientated cervix, I really struggle. Tipping them into post tilt makes it go deeper and anterior tilt is sometimes tricky for them. Any top tips on how to help me reach it better? Also, from a now having diagnosed myself with tight uterosacral ligaments, do you think it’s possible to release them myself using the Ezimagic wand? Thanks 🙂
For shorter fingers the pelvic tilts is one option, making sure your hand is low so the rami bones don’t block your reach in, if you keep them low you can push your whole hand in deeper into the perineum as long as it doesn’t cause them pain. You can also push down gently on the lower abdomen to encourage the uterus lower in the pelvis. Give the wand thing a try and see what happens. I don’t know how you can tell the wand is on the cervix but you can always use intention and see what happens. Good luck!
What does it mean if you see a small bulge/ line in someone not pregnant/never been pregnant at the area of the fundus palpation?
