I’m realizing that sharing more detail about the anatomy will be helpful. I have folks experientially notice all the things mentioned in this video (high and low pitched sounds, basic breathing and PF explanations but I sometimes get stuck in trying to explain the lengthening of the pF while they are exhaling and breathing. for some it lands but not all). The direct, kinesthetic exploration with hands on this specific area will be so helpful. Eager to really bring this piece into my bodywork sessions (where I sometimes feel like people are wanting more relaxation and just feeling good, so I’ve been hesitant to be too educational. – which in writing this just seems silly. but also speaks to expectations people hold and I’m realizing some of my blocks around how to speak about the form of bodywork I provide to people. And this is all helping me round this out and have more confidence in what I want to providing.
Amy, I”m so glad you found this material helpful and it sounds like in writing your comment you came so some great realizations for you. Good work! Thanks for learning this material and taking it out into your practice! Good luck.
