I’m curious what your thoughts are regarding the instruction from providers during labor to get in supine to “help baby come under the pubic bone.” This is often a frustrating moment for me as a doula because I don’t want to be confrontational. Suggestions?

Stacy, Getting into supine will not help the baby get under the pubic bone. The sacrum needs to lift backwards more to help this happen so encouraging sacral flexion is ideal!
