I really find it so helpful (and fascinating) to help my pregnant moms by working on the round ligament; the changes these moms feel from walking into the treatment room and to when they leave the treatment room is so rewarding.

The round ligament is [I have been taught; Blechschmidt maybe?] a vestigial piece of tissue that would have become the spermatic cord, had the embryo become male instead of female. This explains not only where it goes, but why it’s so dysfunctional.

Wherever I find stretchmarks in any of my clients, I [almost] always find visceral restrictions, that i assume were present before the pregnancy or weight gain.

When my wife was pregnant, I took a birth massage class, and worked with everyone in the midwife’s class group. What I learned was that the entire course treatment should be done BEFORE pregnancy! (I developed a pre-pregnancy protocol, but its a hard sell!)

Great connection Jamie! Thanks for sharing. I agree it is a hard sell but letting them know it could help save hours of labor should be helpful but it’s not a guarantee!
