Would love to hear your take on inversions that are ā€œless steepā€ to start out with. i usually have folks start lower – to get used to the blood flow to head and the positioning in general.

And in general how steep of an angle do you feel is needed (during pregnancy) to get the benefit of the ligament release.

Ive’ found some folks don’t feel comfortable going inverted as such a steep incline – or they are doing it on their own and don’t feel safe doing it.

I[ve been to a couple Spinning Babies workshops s- so know the movement through that lens.

I like to offer graduated options for the folks I work with and am curious about how much of an angle is enough. (for example – some folks with shoulder issues can’t get into that position).

(Similar with the side lying release – offering support to the top leg so it’s not just hanging there all the way. Thinking about stretch receptors that may want to contract and protect more. That by offering support and time for the body to adjust to this new position – then when there is some release going further with it.

What do you think about this approach in relationship to what we see in the spinning babies version of side lying release. Thinking about some of my clients who have SI pain and fear around it coming back or getting worse. OR for those who are hypermobile or diagnosed with Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. meeting them where they are at. And esp. if showing this to a support person who may be helping them with it – to teach them how to support the person so their nervous system feels supported and met. How little of the side-lying release is enough? Or, maybe instead of this questions it’s about meeting each person and staying tuned into their tissues and their body will guide how much is enough.

this sort of got a little rambling….
