With the sacrum flexed the coccygeus muscles will be on stretch and most likely have increased tone. If both sides are tight with increased tone the sacrum is in the midline, if one side is more tight than the other the sacrum might be sheered off to one side. Do mobility testing to see with the sheer correction if it’s unilateral tension.
Hi Lynn,
I’d love to know what your initial eval looks like. There are so many things to check, what do you think are essentials for first visit? Assuming an hour long session. Thank you.
Cassandra, in the back of the workbook is a techniques prioritizations list for which techniques to do for different issues. I always start in standing and do an evaluation in standing, then have my client supine on the table and start with the techniques for the issue they are coming to me for. I hope this helps.
Can you clear up the various descriptions of the Birthing Patterns please?
You’ll get to it in the next lecture. Keep on going!
So how will coccigeus muscles palpate if sacrum is flexed?
