  1. Samira Tabatabaiepur says:

You mention waiting to work intravaginally until 38 weeks when the cervix is starting to open. Is that with all intravaginal work or just with deeper work where you are approaching cervix?
Also is there an increased risk of infection with doing work around cervix when it is starting to open?

    1. Lynn Schulte says:

I don’t teach doing any internal work in the pregnant client around the cervix. We should be focusing on the pelvic floor muscles only and we can do this at anytime during pregnancy except in the first trimester.

  2. Mikayla Simons says:

I am curious about palpating the pregnant abdomen and baby positioning when it is a twin pregnancy – is it the same concept/approach or are there different contraindications with multiples?

    1. Lynn Schulte says:

With twin pregnancies I still look at uterine mobility and treat uterine ligament restrictions but as far as baby’s position I don’t address that. Usually my clients come in knowing what positions their babies are in and I just focus on creating as much space as possible for them.
