  1. Jennifer de Jong says:

When assessing compression/decompression on the non pregnant uterus, are your thumbs and fingers moving medial (toward each other), then lateral? Or is it posterior then anterior? And are we assessing the general fascial mobility of the uterus itself?

    1. Lynn Schulte says:

The fingers are coming together medially and then releasing. Yes to the first part of your question.

  2. Hi Lynn, would you still assess superior/inferior glide in a pregnant uterus? I didnt see it in the second video there. Thanks

    1. Lynn Schulte says:

I do superior glide but the sidebeding already assesses round ligament and the superior glide is doing the same so it’s redundant. If you feel you need more information with your pregnant client then you can do it.

  3. Mary Grace Shuker says:

What week is this safe to perform with a pregnant belly?

    1. Lynn Schulte says:

Don’t do any uterine mobilizations in the first trimester. After that it’s easier the bigger the baby gets. So if they aren’t having any pains and you are just wanting to make sure there is space and mobility for baby, wait until the late second, third trimester to do this. If they are having pains then the uterine ligament restriction may be contributing to it.
