I was able to try the ironing board inversion with a very pregnant client today. It worked great. I had to practice getting on and off myself before I had her to it. Her baby is in the right position but her left hip is really stuck. I just used the position to practice but it also was helpful for working on the left hip in a different way.

I love using the ironing board. It helps us access tissue in a totally different way. Glad you found it helpful Jody!

  2. Emma Harrison says:

How long dp you have them hang out on their side before they get back up?

    1. Lynn Schulte says:

Just for a minute or two. Also when your client feels ready to get up too. You’ve got to give their body time to get all the blood down into their lower body again.

  3. Amy LePage says:

Are you recommending we practice this with any pregnant person or just those who are breech? thanks

    1. Lynn Schulte says:

Just do the ironing board with just breeched positioned babies.

  4. Jeri Lynn Houck says:

How are you sensing the direction the baby wants to move?

    1. Lynn Schulte says:

Place your hands on the belly and tune into baby and see if you get a sense of which way it wants to try and turn.
