How Does The Live Course Work?

You will meet as a small group of no more than 20 students for this 2.5 day in-person training and get individual support from Lynn Schulte on the techniques

This course has 27.25 hours of PT CEU credits (7.25 hours online + 20 hours in-person) approved in the state of Colorado and those states that have reciprocity

You have lifetime access to the online portion of the course which includes lectures and labs with multi-angle videos creating a valuable video reference library

There are short quizzes at the end of the online course units to ensure learning of key treatment points

You will see each technique performed live and have the option to practice and experience each technique with instructor support and feedback

As part of this course, you will also get immediate access to the online Holistic Treatment of the Pregnant Body course, a prerequisite for the live course

There are downloadable lecture slides and a course workbook which includes photos and an overview of each technique for easy reference

Course Unit Sneak Peak: Baby’s Head Position Lab

After completion of this course you will be able to:

  • Understand which predisposing factors can influence pregnancy and delivery and what can be done about them.
  • Differentiate between signs and symptoms of low back pain versus pelvic girdle pain.
  • Be able to identify the signs and symptoms of pubic symphysis dysfunction and know how to protect the pelvis during labor.
  • Be able to palpate the pelvis and have an idea of the alignment of the pelvis and how different positions during labor can benefit the mom based on her alignment.
  • Understand Pelvic mechanics in labor and delivery and how to influence them with different positions during birth.
  • Understand the different pre-existing back conditions and what labor positions are best for those conditions.
  • Learn to palpate and assess fascia, muscle, bone and joint mobility in the abdomen and pelvis.
  • Learn how to balance the pelvic bones to relieve back and pelvic pain in pregnancy.
  • Understand the motions of the pelvis during birth and the common birth pattern the pelvis goes into for birth.
