Show Notes:

In today’s podcast, Lynn speaks with Taryn Hallam the founder of Women’s Health Training Associates in Australia about pelvic organ prolapse: the potential causes and risk factors as well as what role pelvic health therapists can play.

POP stands for pelvic organ prolapse, and it is a condition in women where there is dysfunction in the bladder, uterus or rectum ligamentous support. There are multiple causes of prolapse both genetic and environmental. It is important to note that an anterior prolapse is very different from a posterior prolapse, and that they require different treatments. You don’t want to miss this summary of the research on prolapse and how pelvic health therapists are able to support women with prolapse.

Taryn will be speaking on obstetric anal sphincter injuries in the 2024 Birth Healing Summit which begins April 8, 2024. Get your pass now: https://instituteforbirthhealing.com/birth-healing-summit/
